About the Role

As our Ideas Management Intern, reporting to the Head of Continental Business System (CBS), you’ll work closely with production operators, supervisors, and managers to support Continental’s global Ideas Management (CIM) tool – a platform designed to streamline and implement employee suggestions for smarter, safer, and more efficient ways of working.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting production operators in developing and implementing their ideas.

• Coordinating, prioritising, and organising submitted ideas.

• Partnering with supervisors and production management to ensure ideas are actioned.

• Providing support with Lean Manufacturing tools and initiatives as required.

• Attending off-shift discussions occasionally to connect with operators face-to-face.

Full training will be provided on our systems and processes – what we’re looking for is enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine interest in Lean and continuous improvement.

About You

We’re seeking a motivated student who:

• Is currently in their 3rd or 4th year of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Has a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Is an excellent communicator who enjoys engaging with people on the shop floor.

• Is organised, proactive, and able to balance multiple priorities.

• Can be flexible with work hours to occasionally support off-shift conversations.
