Data Analyst Intern

• Collect and standardize box office revenue data in Australia and international markets.
• Enrich data with contextual features such as studio, genre, voice actors, and age rating.
• Analyze correlations between international performance and Australian market reception.
• Build evaluation metrics for new film investment potential.
• Contribute to a classification system of film performance (low – medium – high).

Data Scientist Intern

• Apply time series regression models to forecast 30-day box office revenue.
• Cluster films based on revenue curve patterns (stable, rapid decline, etc.).
• Develop classification logic based on revenue, volatility, and theatrical durability.
• Support visualization and interpretation of data-driven insights.

Requirements

• Current student or graduate in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Media/Communication, or related fields.
• Basic to intermediate skills in Google Sheets/Excel, SQL, or Python (pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with film data platforms (Box Office Mojo, The Numbers) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking; eager to learn and explore market insights.
• Ability to communicate technical results in a clear and concise manner.
