The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our field operations team as a LiDAR Field Technician. This is a fantastic entry-point into the high-growth geospatial technology sector. We provide comprehensive, hands-on training on our state-of-the-art equipment and software, making this role perfect for recent graduates, current students, or career-changers with a relevant background.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A recent graduate or student in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Geography, or a related field.

• A keen interest in cutting-edge technology, hardware, and software.

• Enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and is comfortable with travel.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.

• They should also possess good English communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

• Reasonable skills with Office software, like Word, Excel, Onedrive, and Google drive etc. 

• Physically fit for walking about 10km per day with 5-10kg equipment; 

• Construction site work experience, not mandatory;

• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites are essential.

Key Responsibilities  
 

• Operate and manage mobile and terrestrial LiDAR scanning systems (potentially drone LiDAR system) on various project sites.

• Perform field surveys, including the setup of equipment and GPS base stations.

• Conduct initial data quality checks in the field to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare and organize point cloud data for the post-processing team.

• Assist with basic maintenance and calibration of field equipment.

• Work closely with the Project Manager and team to ensure project requirements are met.

• White card

• Full Australian driver’s license, and P2 license is acceptable after a driving VOC;

• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

• HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support

• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

• RIIWHS302E Implement traffic Management Plans
