We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Role Overview:
As our Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper, you’ll assist with financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting, ensuring our accounts remain accurate and up to date. You’ll be working closely with the Finance Manager (or external accountant) and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Assist with payroll processing and superannuation obligations
Maintain accurate records in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
Prepare BAS and GST documentation with external accountant
Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
Assist with budgeting and forecasting as required
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Skills & Experience:
1–2 years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar role (internship or work placement considered)
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or working towards)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software (Xero experience highly regarded)
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
A willingness to learn and grow within the role
