Pharmacist Intern – Dose Administration / Aged Care

We are seeking a Pharmacist Intern to join our well-established pharmacy in Nowra, working in our Dose Administration / Aged Care division while completing your internship training.

This role involves starting with the accurate preparation and delivery of medications to both community and aged care patients (similar to a DAA technician role). At the same time, you will be supported to develop your clinical knowledge and professional skills as part of your journey to becoming a registered pharmacist.

On-the-job training will be provided, and you will work closely with a skilled team of specialised staff and supervising pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with pharmacists, community patients, and Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs)

• Preparing and providing dose administration aids in line with best practice and safety standards

• Assisting with pharmacy operations while progressively taking on intern pharmacist responsibilities

• Building your knowledge and skills in clinical practice under the guidance of experienced pharmacists

About You:

• Pharmacy graduate eligible to commence internship in 2025

• Excellent communication skills

• Able to work effectively in a team environment

• Proficient computer skills

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Adaptable to a variety of tasks and responsibilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and eligibility to start internship

• Commitment to completing the full internship program with us
