Project: Assessment of control for species segregation and product change over
Overview: As part of this project, you will be involved in assessing the risk of species and product change over and cross contamination risks during the manufacturing process at our Truganina site, where staff currently carry out cleaning verification and inspections. This presents a unique opportunity to explore real-world challenges in food safety and quality assurance. You'll contribute to identifying gaps in current processes, evaluating risk factors, and recommending improvements through better training, procedural updates, or automation. This hands-on project will help you develop skills in risk assessment, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, while making a meaningful impact on product safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the risk: of species and product changeover during the manufacturing process.
Evaluate: potential cross-contamination risks at the site.
Review: current cleaning verification and inspection processes for effectiveness.
Collaborate: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Operations, and Training to gather insights and validate findings.
Participate in Meetings: Join Quality meetings to understand how decisions are made and ensure the data you provide aligns with team goals.
Goal: By the end of the project, you will identify and reduce species changeover and cross-contamination risks in the manufacturing process by assessing current practices, addressing process gaps, and implementing improvements to enhance food safety, product quality, and operational standards.

Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (completed or in progress)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
Willingness to travel within the state if required as part of onboarding ( 1 week only )
