Internship - 3 months

13-Week Full-Time Paid Summer Internship at Hilton Foods - Starting 24th of November.

Overview:
Are you ready to gain hands-on experience working on a project that shapes the way Hilton Foods operates across the Asia Pacific? As an intern, you’ll play a key role in a major APAC-wide standardisation project, supporting our Operations Director and working alongside our SME’s, to align operational processes across our four APAC facilities.

You’ll help review, document, and standardise the entire operational cycle—from machinery and process speeds to people and systems through a Continuous Improvement (CI) and business engineering lens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Review & Mapping: Help analyse and compare processes across our sites to identify inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.

• Standardisation Frameworks: Support the rollout of consistent CI-based standards across machinery, people, and production cycles.

• Collaborate Across Sites: Join meetings with leaders across all four sites to align practices and ensure smooth implementation.

• Support Rollouts: Assist in the development of documentation, guides, and tools to roll out the new standards across APAC.

• CI Mindset: Contribute fresh thinking using your knowledge of Mechanical or Business Engineering and Economics to deliver better, smarter operations.

Goal:

By the end of this internship, you'll have contributed to a key transformation project that drives efficiency, consistency, and quality across Hilton Foods’ APAC manufacturing operations.

About You: 

Are you passionate about operations, problem-solving, and optimising how things run? We're seeking a enthusiastic student eager to learn and make a real impact.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Business Engineering, Operations Management or Process Engineering (completed or in progress)

• Interest in CI, operations, or process optimisation

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Great attention to detail and analytical thinking

• Strong time management – able to work both independently and collaboratively

•  A can-do attitude and readiness to get involved across multiple site

• Willingness to travel within the state if required for onboarding (1 week only)

• A positive and passionate attitude with a strong focus on customer service

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change

• Willingness to travel within the state if required as part of onboarding (1 week only)

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Ambition: You’re eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the team beyond expectations

• Problem-solving skills: You enjoy untangling complex systems and improving them

• Strong project mindset: Able to manage timelines and deliver meaningful outcomes

• Solid Excel or reporting experience (bonus but not essential)
