Job Description

Trinity Grammar School is inviting applicants for our 2026 Primary teacher Internships. This internship is open to current Education students, wishing to join our community as a Primary teacher in either our Junior or Preparatory School, and be actively involved in our wider School community.

If you are eager and ready to practice what you have learnt, this offers the ideal experience for final year students to try new strategies, make mistakes and learn from them, growing in confidence, develop skills and enhance your knowledge with the support of outstanding leaders and mentors.  Immersing yourself in 'school life' you will gain endless opportunities to broaden your experience through involvement in classroom teaching at all primary stages, small group lessons for literacy and numeracy teaching in both the NSW curriculum and the International Baccalaureate – Primary Years Program (IB-PYP).
Becoming a Teaching Intern at Trinity Grammar School is a great opportunity to build professional experience skills of pre-service teachers. The intern will work with the staff at Trinity engaging in a range of experiences that will support your entry into the teaching profession. In committing to this program you will invest around 10 hours each week, adjusted to suit your study commitments.  At the end of the experience, you will complete  your internship with your final Professional Experience at Trinity Grammar School, when you will be well prepared to launch your teaching career.

Applicants must be in  their final year of study (in 2026) and be eligible for Conditional or Provisional Accreditation with NESA. We strongly encourage applicants studying the IB-PYP program to apply.
